Today’s guest is Danielle J. Buhuro, an ordained clergy member of the United Church of Christ, currently serves as a CPE Supervisor at two hospitals in Chicago. As an African American queer/same-gender-loving person, Danielle Buhuro is committed to activism in the areas of race, gender and sexuality. She is currently a Ph.D student at Chicago Theological Seminary where her dissertation focus is social media violence specifically against Black heterosexual women, Black transgender women and Black Muslim women. Danielle Buhuro is also an author, recently publishing Spiritual Care In An Age of #BlackLivesMatter: Examining the Spiritual and Prophetic Needs of African Americans in a Violent America.
